they had a marathon and 5k also at this event. i was surprised to meet becky hammon and her kids at the finish line with the group. she had run the 5k and troy was out running the marathon. it was good to see becky but i was disappointed i didn't get to say hi to troy. i had not seen them since they moved to alaska.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

after getting all cleaned up some of us headed out on the town to get lunch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

we went to mexican food. i don't really think mexican is the best food for a post race meal so played it safe and went with chicken strips.

heidi was feeling brave and she ordered cactus. i can't be sure but there is a part of me that wonders if there isn't some natives somewhere saying, "they aren't suppose to eat that".
